After using Screenium, I can no longer hear any audio on my Mac. How can I bring back the audio?
Screenium relies on the audio routing software Soundflower to capture the system audio output. For this purpose the audio output is automatically set to Soundflower during the recording. When the recording is completed, the output automatically switches back to Built-in output. However, if Screenium is force quit or crashes during the recording, the audio output is not switched back to Built-in output. Therefore you might have to switch the audio back manually to bring back the audio.
Open the audio Midi Setup
Open Spotligh by clicking on the spotlight icon at the right side of the menu bar or by pressing “CMD” + “Space”.
Enter “audio Midi Setup” and click on the entry to open the setup app.
Set back the sound output to Built-in Output
Right click on the “Built-in output” entry at the left side.
Select “Use this device for sound output” and do the same for “Play alerts and sound effects…”.
