Vector and pixel graphics usually require separate apps. Logoist can handle both – in one single document. This allows you to combine vector graphics with pixel-based effects such as soft filters and different types of shades or glow effects. Logoist also lets you add a soft gloss to matte surfaces or combine depth-of-field effects – all while preserving your vector information during design export.
Combine simple shapes and text into complex paths using boolean operations like subtract, union, difference or intersect. Logoist 3 can even preview all possible boolean operations for a set of selected objects. All boolean operations are non-destructive - you can continue to alter the original objects after you've assigned boolean operations. It’s even possible to nest groups inside other groups and repeat this action any number of times or combine them with boolean operators.
X-Ray and Pixel Mode
Do you want to align objects and groups with maximum precision, without the distraction of effects and filters? Tap ALT on your keyboard to activate Logoist 3's new X-ray mode. All groups and objects will now be displayed as contours so you can align them as accurately as possible. This even works while you move or resize objects. Logoist 3’s brand-new pixel mode allows for pixel-accurate editing. It gives you an exact preview of what your design will look like as a pixel graphics image, regardless of the zoom level you’ve set. The new pixel mode is ideally suited for designing web graphics, app icons or other symbols.
Using Paths in Logoist 3
Creating paths has never been easier: Logoist offers advanced tools for editing paths such as straight lines or Bézier paths. Paths can even be combined with other paths, clipart images, and text objects to create cut-outs from other shapes.
Import - SVG and more…
Logoist 3 now offers SVG file import as a brand-new feature. Import SVG clipart files and other SVG graphics directly into Logoist – they will remain fully editable and the app will also preserve group information and transformations. Logoist’s support of the SVG file standard will give you more versatility than ever.
Once completed, you can export your design to either pixel- or vector-based formats, including PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG and more. If you require your design in a number of different resolutions, the batch export feature will save you extra work and time by allowing you to export multiple resolutions and formats at a time. You’ll see an exact preview of the final file during the export. Logoist offers a wide range of options for preparing your designs for web or print publication.
