Can I store my database in Dropbox?
You can of course determine the path of the family database in MacFamilyTree / MacFamily Tree yourself and also save it on the Dropbox, but keep the following in mind:
- Dropbox can’t resolve sync conflicts – meaning if you change your database on two Macs simultaneously, your changes are lost.
- Be sure to create backups of your family trees
- Should you decide to activate iCloud sync again, your tree file will be removed from Dropbox and stored in the location Apple requires for iCloud sync.
