Frequently asked questions about Screenium 2
- Error message: "App is damaged” – what should I do?
Show Answer
You tried to launch your app and just received the error message, the app “XY is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete XY and download it again from the App Store”? This is unfortunately a Mac App Store issue which has been around since the App Store launched.
However, there is no need to worry, simply follow these simple steps. Your data won’t be harmed because app data on your Mac is never stored inside an application.
– Move the current application from the Applications folder to the trash and empty it
– Launch the Mac App Store
– Login with the account you used to buy the app
– Go to your profile
– Then view your purchase history and download your app again
In some cases, these steps are not sufficient because the Mac App Store faces two issues Apple is obviously not able to tackle. If a simple re-download still results in the error message, this is what to do:
Delete the following files and restart the Mac:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

- Am I allowed to run Screenium on more than one Mac?
Show Answer

A Mac running OS X 10.10 Yosemite or higher is required. Of course, Screenium 3 fully supports macOS 10.13 High Sierra. Recording iOS devices requires iOS 8 as well as an iOS device with a Lightning connector. Older OS X versions cannot run Screenium 3.
