Places – Finally done right
Being able to track places associated with events and persons may sound trivial, but MobileFamilyTree 11 is the world's first application designed to properly map these details for both the present and the past. Our completely redesigned place management tool allows you to search and document any relevant or prominent sites (cemeteries, registry offices, parks etc.), not just cities or towns. Our application's pre-installed database contains a wealth of useful details, including multilingual and historical names, points of interest, landmarks, and more.
But that's not all – we've added another amazing new feature to MacFamilyTree's place management: the application now offers a variety of different templates to reflect and accommodate different countries' administrative systems. You can now specify exactly how you want MacFamilyTree to categorize your location data, taking into account the number and types of administrative levels of the country in question, be it districts or federal states, counties, regions, or departments. We are proud that the app now supports all countries, regardless of their administrative systems.
Charts – Experience your family tree
MobileFamilyTree 11 offers versatile charts and diagrams such as the Ancestor Chart, Genealogical Chart, Hourglass Chart, Kinship Chart, Double Ancestor Chart, Statistics, Timeline, Genogram, and many more. You can view all charts and diagrams right on your device and print them on paper without a PC or Mac by using an iOS compatible printer (using “AirPrint”). Easily share charts directly from within MobileFamilyTree and send them to your relatives by email. Change the orientation or coloring of your charts by simply adjusting the app’s versatile configuration settings. You can also switch to any of the other 15 languages offered by MobileFamilyTree.

Virtual Globe
The Virtual Globe is the perfect tool to see how your family has spread across the globe in the course of time. Some of your ancestors set out for America some 300 years ago? The freely rotatable globe shows where members of your family settled and where your ancestors lived. The Virtual Globe automatically displays events such as births, weddings, emigrations or funerals. The convenient places function will swiftly provide you with the coordinates for all of these places so you can view them in the globe.
Statistic Maps
Statistic Maps are a unique way to combine facts, geography and chronology in just one amazing view. Take a glance at the world map and discover where some of your ancestors grew particularly old, where and when there was a particularly large number of children being born and where the ancestors in your family tree were buried.

Smart Filters - Intelligent Search and Filters
MobileFamilyTree 11 offers the most powerful filters you've ever seen in a genealogy application. With the new Smart Filters you can now limit the number of records displayed to those that are relevant to your current research activities. They can be applied to persons, families, sources, places or ToDos. This way, you can define a filter such as "Display all married men from York that I've downloaded via FamilySearch and for whom media is available".
The reinvention of search
You want to search your tree for “John,” whose surname was either “Kramer” or “Cramer,” born either in 1945 or 1955? That sounds like a simple question – yet so far, no software is able to provide an answer to that on the fly. How does it work? By replacing “searching” with “filtering”!
Either create your own search queries or rely on one of the many pre-configured suggestions, which can be customized as desired, or saved as a new “Smart Filter”. Also very handy: Let’s say you set “all people who have emigrated from Germany or France to the USA” as a search filter, you can directly create a Person Group from the results.
