I purchased a serial but the registration dialog doesn't open. Where do I enter the serial number now?

This can happen if you tried the demo version over a long period of time and the preferences file got corrupted. This problem is easily solved, though:

  1. Open Finder
  2. Browse to "Your User Folder"(house icon) - Library - Preferences
  3. Now look for a file named after the application that doesn't show the registration dialog, so for example:
    "com.synium.MacFamilyTree.plist" or "de.synium.Chronories.plist"
  4. Delete the file corresponding to that application

When you launch it the next time, the registration dialog should open again.
