How do I obtain my software?
After your purchase, the application is automatically downloaded into iTunes. Sync your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad with iTunes to install the app on the device.

What happens if I need to reinstall my app? Do I have to buy again?
You don't have to buy the software again. Simply sync your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad again to reinstall your app.

Editing your Family Tree

MobileFamilyTree Pro has all the features you need to research your family tree: Enter persons, families, sources and events directly on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Manage to do's or notes to manage your research efficiently. MobileFamilyTree Pro has been designed with ease of use in mind: Within minutes, you will know how to enter your data and create stunning charts. If you have questions on a specific view, simply tap the question mark located in the upper right and MobileFamilyTree Pro opens the contextual user manual on the specific page describing the function in question.

Charts

MobileFamilyTree Pro comes with the following charts: Ancestor Chart, Descendant Chart, Hourglass Chart, Double Ancestor Chart, Statistics, Timeline, Genogram. All charts are directly viewable on your iOS device and can be printed using an compatible printer. You can even send an email containing your chart to relatives if you wish. Furthermore, MobileFamilyTree Pro offers many options to configure a chart to your needs.

Research Assistant

Ever been stuck in your research? No clue where to continue the research or even where to begin? The new Research Assistant in MobileFamilyTree Pro 1.2 analyzes your tree database and helps you identify missing information in your family tree by asking easy questions about your relatives.

Media Gallery

The Media Gallery has been completely rewritten from scratch for MobileFamilyTree Pro 1.2 and makes it easier than ever to browse all pictures, audio, video and PDF files found in your family tree. The new Media Gallery automatically groups media by person or family and brings up a preview of your image with a single click.

Reports

Since MobileFamilyTree Pro is based on the same architecture as MacFamilyTree all reports from the desktop version can be used on the iOS version as well: Person Report, Family Group Report, Kinship Report, Places Report, Events Report, Marriage List, Persons List. Similar to charts, all reports can be directly printed using a compatible printer and send by email to relatives.

Maps

So you're out traveling and you know someone in your family used to live here. But who exactly? And what did they do here? Be it birth, christening, marriage or emigration - the Map View helps you find out where your family wrote history. Get a quick overview of how your family spread out over the course of the centuries and where the chances of finding long lost relatives are highest.

Virtual Tree

The Virtual Tree takes browsing through your family tree to the third dimension. Move freely, zoom in or zoom out and get a whole new perspective on the relationships hidden in your data.

Multiple Databases

MobileFamilyTree Pro can manage multiple databases on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. You can work on multiple genealogy projects on the go without the hassle of copying databases back and forth using a Mac or PC. Multiple databases can be copied to the device using iTunes or by using the sync organizer in MacFamilyTree 6.1.
