I’ am asked to enter a serial number for registration, but I did not receive one. Where can I find my serial number?

If you are asked to register, but you did not receive a serial number, you probably bought the application in the Mac App Store, while you downloaded the software from our website before.

For software bought in the Mac App Store there is no serial number required, while the licensing model on our website requires a serial number.

You must first delete all previous versions of MacFamilyTree from your applications directory before you install the version from the Mac App Store. Please make sure to delete all versions of MacFamilyTree from your hard disc. Also check other folders like "Desktop" or "Downloads".

Please download MacFamilyTree in the Mac App Store once again. Use the same Apple ID to download it free of charge.

After the installation it should not ask you for a serial number anymore. Please always update your application via the "Updates" section of the App Store. New updates will be displayed in the "Updates" section, as soon as they are available.
